If you want to add WIFI to your retro computer then you can have no better board! I have designed this to work with the voltages most commonly found on your old computers and plenty of people have used the original v1 RetroNET with a wide variety of machines! The V2 board comes ready to go with DB9 Serial connection and a micro-USB for power.
The hardware provides standard AT Serial instructions so you can get going with your favourite terminal software and hook up to a BBS!
It even remembers your WIFI settings on power-off, so as soon as you fire it up, its ready to go. Please note, I no longer fit the reset button or the power LED. the units are pre-configured to 9600 so they can work on lower hardware not capable of running at the higher serial speeds, this can be changed through the terminal commands. To permanently set this use, please note the CTRL codes needed when sending an AT command:
Here is a little get to going primer, it is advisable to program these strings as macros. Some commands such as CIPMODE, the last WIFI network etc are stored for future use. on some systems the [CTRL+M][CTRL+J] can be replaced with [ENTER][CTRL-ENTER]
