Raspberry Pi 3 Monitor Arcade Upgrade
I show you how to upgrade your existing Raspberry Pi Arcade system to the latest version!
I prefer to use native style controllers and find the SNES style work well for both NES, SNES and Neo Geo games.

I also used similar hardware to make this amazing home-brew retro console and media centre:

Dont forget to check out the earlier Rpi model B stealth arcade video: https://youtu.be/bNoLV4iuGl8

There is a whole bunch of people selling the bits on Amazon and their associated accessories. I have a ready-made link for you:

XBOX Controllers:

SNES style USB controllers:

HDMI Adaptor Cables:

PSU:

Micro SD Card:

For the main software I used RetroPie, you can download this from here:

As for Roms, you will need to search these out for yourself. The legalities are a bit iffy, but generally if you already own the physical game then you should have no problem.

Also many of the MSDOS and Amiga images are abandonware so have a look on abandonware sites such as Home of the Underdogs: http://www.homeoftheunderdogs.net/

Have fun!

Ultimate vtech V.Smile Retro RetroPie Arcade & Media Centre Mod Raspberry Pi 3 Tutorial
Possibly my greatest build yet! Turning a vtech V.Smile into a fire breathing retro arcade & home media centre!
This was not only a really fun project, it did not take too long to do. If you have a spare weekend coming up, why not dust off that old console, especially if its broken, and give it a new lease of life as the ultimate Retro Arcade and home entertainment system. Kodi (formerly XBMC) does the hard work for media purposes and Retropie handles the rest!

You can still find v.Smile consoles and accessories on Amazon:
