A sickly SEGA Game Gear that refuses to play Shinobi! I wanted to do a side-by-side comparison of an old screen against a new one with two copies of the game, but this one had conked out, and changing the batteries didn’t help.
I don’t have a capacitor kit to hand, so let’s try to fix it for free with floor sweeping components. You are bound to have some old gadgets or PC PSUs with these capacitors in them! Not everything goes to plan, and there is a rather fishy old circuit smell along the way, but a proper kit is on the list for later.
