This is a device for spinning automatic watches to keep them fully charged, so whenever you pick one up they are ready to go. It feels quite well built but it was looking awfully weak, so I thought it would be interesting to open it up and have a look inside.
On a bench power supply it still stalled out, so the motor came out and I found filth, and plenty of it, in the old grease around the bearings. A quick clean later and it even looks faster. Jolly nice to have something that is actually reasonably easily repairable!
